This was intially watermarked with "zonawar.ru"; see [1] Most likely not a free image unless User:Ment481 owns that website, but I've seen no indication of that. Someone not using his real name (talk) 13:40, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

On this site the same photo (without watermark) is shown in somewhat higher resolution than our version. However, I am not sure about the date/history. --Túrelio (talk) 19:08, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

That Korean site seems to have it in lower resolution than what is uploaded here. It would indeed be helpful if Ment481 clarified (via OTRS) that the pictures he posts are his own, not just coming from his own website because there are plenty of Russian websites where copyright is given the short shrift. Ment481 has just uploaded a whole bunch more images that have similar illumination conditions, so I assume they are all taken by the same photographer. This is only of marginal relevance here, but the zonawar.ru website contains some videos which are clearly not made by them (portions of the documentary series Отечественное Стрелковое Оружие). Ment481 has uploaded some short clips from that to youtube as well, with some video editing done to caption his website address over the footage, e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kmsI1eBVfM. Yea but that's not relevant to commons if he uploads vids to youtube or his own webpage. Is someone able to speak Russian and can contact them to clarify the user?--Sanandros (talk) 16:56, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
