Onasander 28 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) I am just absolutely amazed..... I just translated several lines from Koine Greek, and it makes sense in English, in the exact same order..... What the hell? In Latin I'm confused and intimidated by where the word in the sentence will occur, in Koine you just translate the words, and they are already in place...... and life is simple. Latin is a silly old language for fools to twist and die over. It would of been better for everyone had the Greeks conquered Rome. Like.... just wow. Then I guess you would not like German either...
Onasander 28 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 No, German is definitely a rude and ugly language.
Kosmo 5 Report post Posted June 15, 2014 Latin word order is pretty crazy with a theoretical Subject Indirect-Object Direct-Object Adverb Verb order. I think it's surprising how spreaded Latin was given how hard it is to master.
