Viggen 95 Report post Posted November 7, 2012 The 300 (Single-Disc Widescreen Edition) (2007) Review by Ursus Beware and enjoy; this is not your average critique... caldrail 152 Report post Posted November 8, 2012 Jeez, Ursus... I can see you liked it but good grief it was the most forgettable film ever. Sorry, what were we talking about?
DecimusCaesar 1 Report post Posted November 9, 2012 I've had this film on DVD for so many years now I forgot where I put it. You have the bravery of a Spartan Ursus, because I still haven't drawn the courage to sit down and watch this film.
guy 156 Report post Posted November 11, 2012 Here's a very good critique of the movie 300. It was written by Dr. Kaveh Farrokh, a very thoughtful Iranian historian and expert on Ancient Persia. http://www.ghandchi.com/iranscope/Anthology/KavehFarrokh/300/index.htm guy also known as gaius
Maty 26 Report post Posted November 11, 2012 Ah yes. The 300. It is to the battle of Thermopylae what Clash of the Titans is to Greek myth. Thing is though, the story of the actual battle is a pretty good one. The makers of this movie should have gotten an Oscar in the 'gilding the lily' category.
