I said basically the same thing about Scarrow - that Under The Eagle read like a TV movie, only I said you could tell "he grew up with television unlike Sutcliff". I'm on the second book in the series now, and I agree with you it's all about the battles isn't it? I'm looking forward to reading Eagle In The Snow as soon as possible. Thanks for the review.
