I am interested in all aspects of history, from the rise of the Mesopotamian city states to the end of the Second World War.

However, my main interest remains Rome, from the Foundation to the 'Reconquest' of the West by Justinian. I received a Masters degree in Ancient History and Society from the University of Cardiff after which I became a teacher. I gave up teaching to look after my son (as I type he is 6 years old) and am now attempting to fulfil my dream to become a writer of historical biographies.
