Wiki Loves Monuments 2015 in Tunisia[edit]

Bonjour Mourad;

Moumou82 (talk) 10:31, 9 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Bonjours Mourad ;

QI IssamBarhoumi[edit]

Bonjour Mourad;

Cordialement, --Sami Mlouhi (talk) 00:19, 18 March 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File renaming template[edit]

The renaming template is: {{rename|new name|number of renaming Criterion|verbal explanation|user=}}, for example: {{rename|File:Citernes situées au nord des thermes 01.jpg|3|wrong ID|user=Moumou82}}
It is better not to use dots in names: they can case technical problems in old systems. Number of Criterion you can find on the Commons:File_renaming site. When you are an uploader, the best is Criterion #1, uploaders have special favours ;-)
Good luck! Wieralee (talk) 23:07, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Scope and speedy deletion tagging[edit]

Speedy deletion is used for copyright violations, attack images, blatant spam, or uploader requests of recent uploads done in the past week. Out of scope images are dealt with at COM:DR. When you find out of scope personal images, please file a deletion request for the image rather than tagging it for speedy deletion. Thanks. lNeverCry 02:18, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@INeverCry: Hello,
Thanks for your message, this is well noted.
By the way, I have very strong suspictions that Abdelfoutouhe is the same user as Kerkenie and Abdelfattahe. Some of the pictures were identically uploaded by the three accounts and the same person, which is actually the uploader, always appear on several of them. Moumou82 (talk) 10:56, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I've blocked Abdelfoutouhe and nuked all its uploads. lNeverCry 21:09, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi, Category:People by name is a flat category, which means every peoples category should be in there. Feel fre to add addional cats Category:People of Tunisia by name, but leave Category:People by name as it is. Thx. --JuTa 09:46, 3 December 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

WL Afric photos Out of subject[edit]

Dear Mourad; I add a new Category Images from WLAfrica out of Out of subject; this category will help as to know the numbers of photos uploaded as part of the contest out of subject

thank you --Touzrimounir (talk) 18:01, 26 January 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Touzrimounir: Hi Mounir,
I do not think this makes sense. First, if pictures have nothing to do with the contest's topic, I do not see the interest to count them, other than showing some people do not read the contest's rules. Second, I have already removed the contest's tags on all pictures that were not aligned with the topic, so this category will never be complete. If you want the list of those pictures at the end of the contest, I would be glad to give it to you. Moumou82 (talk) 18:40, 27 January 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi ; if you can do that it will be great, at the end of the project I want to report that to the ogranstion team --Touzrimounir (talk) 20:06, 27 January 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Touzrimounir: OK, will do. Remind me if I forget. Moumou82 (talk) 20:08, 27 January 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

File:4 سوق السراجين.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Moumou82 (talk) 11:27, 21 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Moumou82 (talk) 14:22, 21 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Moumou82: Impeccable. Merci beaucoup--Camille56 (talk) 15:54, 21 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wiki Loves Africa[edit]

In English (lire en français plus bas)

Thank you for your contribution to Wiki Loves Africa 2017

The project is a celebration of the visual diversity of Africa on Wikipedia and its sister projects. There are several fun ways you can help us to make the impact of Wiki Loves Africa stronger:

  • Add more categories to your images so that people will find them to use them in articles ... you can see how to do this here: Quick Guide to Categories on Commons
  • Add your image to a relevant Wikipedia article, i.e. if your image shows a tailor sewing, then add the image to an article on Sewing or Tailors - this allows readers to see different global perspectives of a universal subject. You can see how to do this here: How to insert images into Wikipedia using WikiText
  • Improve the images description to make them easier to understand and reuse.
  • If there is no article that reflects the subject of your images, then start an article about that subject. If you are a new editor, you can see how to do that here: Creating your first article
  • Add more images - you can add more images or media that reflect interesting and encyclopedic subjects in your immediate community.
  • Become involved in (or start) your local Wikimedia community groups - it is a lot of fun, and is important! Find the existing groups here: Wikimedia groups across Africa

We look forward to seeing your contributions!!

Warmest,

Anthere for the Wiki Loves Africa Team

File:Great Mosque of Kairouan Panorama - Grande Mosquée de Kairouan Panorama.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Tagging copyvios[edit]

Hi, When tagging copyright violations, please inform the uploader. This is best done using the gagdet. See in your preferences to enable them, tab "Gadget", section "Maintenance tools" : "AjaxQuickDelete" and "Quick delete". These add links in the left column (or right column for Hebrew, Arabic, etc., language interface). Regards, Yann (talk) 12:57, 25 December 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Files nominated, Help[edit]

Dear Mourad

Thank you for your contribution, Two days ago you requested a speedy deletion for some gallery i uploaded, i wasn't aware about that policy at that time (even if it was with the artist permission) i wanted to delete it myself but you did it however, the problem now is that the Admin requested all of the other pictures that i uploded before to be nominated for deletion thinking that it's a gallery which is not, i sent multiple emails but there's no response. The link : Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Metalmed

Please your help is much appreciated, Thank you.

@Metalmed: Dear Mohamed,
You cannot upload pictures unless you have taken them or you got the written authorization of the photographer or of the author of the pieces of art. It looks like you sent an email already about that. Moumou82 (talk) 19:15, 19 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wiki Loves Africa 2020[edit]

Contribute to Wiki Loves Africa and to how the world sees Africa!
Dear Moumou82

In the past, you contributed to the Wiki Loves Africa competition. This February, you have another opportunity to create beautiful photographs on the theme of "transportation" that could change how the world understands people and culture in your part of Africa. As with previous years, there are also many exciting cash prizes.

Wiki Loves Africa is an annual public contest where people across Africa can contribute media (photographs, video and audio) about their environment to Wikimedia Commons for use on Wikipedia and other project websites of the Wikimedia Foundation.

Images from the competition have helped millions learn more about Africa and see Africa more clearly from an African perspective. Overall, nearly 5000 people like you have contributed to this photo contest, and contributed 18,000 images about Africa.

When does it take place?

The 2020 competition will start on the 15th of February 2020 and close on 31st March 2020.

What should we contribute?

Pictures ! audios ! videos ! The theme for the 2020 contest is... Africa on the Move ! This theme encompasses a host of approaches and is intentionally open to interpretation. It encourages the submission of visual representations of movement or transportation, whether by path, road, sea air, by self-propelled, animal or mechanical means, or the historical or contemporary structures that have been created to facilitate movement or the transportation of people, goods, or animals.

In addition to the value your photos contribute to understanding and African visibility, there are several prizes on offer. The international prizes are:

  • 1st prize: US$1000
  • 2nd prize: US$800
  • 3rd prize: US$500

Additional categories are:

  • Culturally specific or traditional representations of transport or structures that facilitate transportation : US$500
  • Prize for best quality video: $500

Each winner will also receive a pack of goodies (proposed: a hat "I edit Wikipedia from Africa", a branded battery, stickers). Additional prizes will be available in some countries.

For rules and information about how to participate, or to join the contest, click on Contribute to the Wiki Loves Africa photo contest.

Warmest,

Anthere, for the Wiki Loves Africa Team

  • 1er prix: US$1000
  • 2ème prix: US$800
  • 3ème prix: US$500

@Tounsimc: Bonjour,

Dear Moumou82, I received a notification that my upload for this logo has been nominated from your side as a copyright violation and wanted to discuss with you your reasons for such a claim. The same Logo file was uploaded to Wikipedia Arabic under the same license (Logo) and has been approved: https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D9%85%D9%84%D9%81:Flag_of_Bizerta.png Best Mouath14 (talk) 13:51, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Mouath14: Hello, a logo is protected by a copyright. While it can be uploaded in WP using a fair use license (possible in French WP, not sure about the Arabic one), it is a completely different story to publish a logo under CC-BY-SA in Commons. Unless you have a source that states this logo is indeed published under a CC-BY-SA license, you cannot make such upload since you are not the author of the logo design, hence not authorized to alter the logo author's rights. Red Lizard has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Moumou82 (talk) 18:05, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Pictures uploaded[edit]

Hello, I am new here, I uploaded many photos about a Tunisian model here in Wikimedia and it appears they are nominated for deletion so have you any suggestions you help me with because I am new here and you are much more experienced than me in this issue. Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Issamachour (talk • contribs) 10:01, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello,
@Issamachour: Are these your own pictures? Several of them have a watermark with a name that does not correspond to your name. Moumou82 (talk) 18:20, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Plusieurs photos supprime[edit]

--Adnen1985 (talk) 22:02, 26 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Bonjour,
Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. @Headlock0225 Hello, you seemed to have missed the copyright holder's permission that is documented in the file description. Hence, this is not a copyright violation. Moumou82 (talk) 18:23, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes my mistake. Luckily picked up by an administrator. Headlock0225 (talk) 02:38, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Order of the categories[edit]

Hello. I don't understand this change that you made here. Usually the order is given by the name of the category and go from the more specific category to the more generic. In this case the more specific are the categories of the coins of Carthage and the Punic coins, so they must stay at the first places, and not the generic categories of Coins of the origin country or Currency of ancient Africa. Please can you me explain the reason of your change? Thank you. Best regards, DenghiùComm (talk) 05:55, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello,
If that is to be the order, that's fine with me. I guess following the same logic that History of Carthage and Carthaginian civilization categories should go last, right? Moumou82 (talk) 09:32, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes. In this case it't correct. Best wishes in this new Year, DenghiùComm (talk) 03:10, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
